Maria Brink
Maria Brink, born December 18th, 1977 was an American artist and singer. She is most well-known for being the frontwoman of In This Moment. In This Moment has gone through seven studio albums and receive four nominations. Two of them came from the Alternative Press Music Awards, one from Grammy Awards, and one from the Loudwire Music Awards.Brink has been honored with "Rock Goddess of the Year" in the third (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards, "Hottest Chick in Metal" in 2010. She was also named one of the eleven females in heavy metal that mattered by Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 Hottest Girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. When she turned 25 years old, she moved to California. old She moved to Los Angeles to search for the perfect band. She worked in stores, sang in bars and also sang in coffee shops. In 2004, she met current band member Chris Howorth at an audition.At first, Howorth turned down Brink due to her gender. Howorth apologized two weeks later and hired Brink to be the singer. They created Dying Star together with Jeff Fabb, drummer. Later, Blake Bunzel, guitarist, and Josh Newell, bassist joined the group. The band was soon renamed In This Moment.
