Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, and teacher of St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton and is being the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her performances as a kid and watching her mom at work. When she was a child, she was featured in a variety of commercials. Anna was transferred from Toronto in 1999 to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009. Anna, who had converted to Judaism in the year before, and Seth Cooperman were married in December of 2010 in Fredericton. In April 2011 the couple renewed their wedding vows with a Jewish ceremony. Bo's same-sex relationship and Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was noted in CNN's list of all-time most viewed Television Couples and was named the top TV Couple in 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's internet popularity increased due to the success of the television series.
